Note that for this package we have quoted a Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route for seven days, including a day for acclimatization. We can also offer this package with the Kilimanjaro trek via other routes, and shorten or lengthen the duration of the trek.

A 4-day safari provides a condensed but still exciting experience to explore the wildlife and natural wonders of Tanzania. Although the itinerary may vary depending on the specific national parks or reserves you choose to visit, here’s a sample itinerary for a 4-day safari:

Day 1: Arrival and Tarangire National Park

  • Arrive in Tanzania and meet your safari guide at the airport.
  • Transfer to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees.
  • Enjoy an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s diverse wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, and various bird species.
  • Overnight stay at a luxury lodge or tented camp within or near Tarangire National Park.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

  • Depart Tarangire and head towards the Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife destinations.
  • Enjoy a game drive en route to the Serengeti, witnessing the changing landscapes and wildlife along the way.
  • Arrive in the Serengeti and embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five and other wildlife species.
  • Witness the stunning sunset over the vast plains of the Serengeti.
  • Spend the night at a luxury lodge or tented camp within or near the Serengeti.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

  • Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, when animals are most active and the lighting is ideal for photography.
  • Witness the wildlife interactions, including predator-prey dynamics, as well as the abundance of plains game.
  • Visit the famous Serengeti kopjes, rocky outcrops that serve as vantage points for predators and resting spots for herbivores.
  • After a picnic lunch, continue exploring the park, discovering more of its unique wildlife and natural beauty.
  • Return to your lodge or camp for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Departure

  • Leave the Serengeti and make your way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
  • Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a natural wonder, known for its high concentration of wildlife.
  • Enjoy a full-day game drive in the crater, encountering a variety of animals, including elephants, lions, rhinos, and hippos.
  • Have a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater.
  • In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
  • Bid farewell to your safari guide and depart, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Tanzanian safari adventure.
