Tour no. VE-P5: 14 days safari and Zanzibar. A two week adventure of game viewing and relaxation at the beach! For this particular tour, we recommend you to book a flight arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport with return from Dar es Salaam, alternatively arriving at Nairobi Airport with return from Zanzibar.

Note that for this package we have quoted a Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route for seven days, including a day for acclimatization. We can also offer this package with the Kilimanjaro trek via other routes, and shorten or lengthen the duration of the trek.
Transfer from point of arrival to Arusha. Overnight at; L: Serena Mountain Village, H: New Arusha Hotel, M: Mount Meru Hotel, B: Arusha Travel Lodge.
Depart Arusha at 09.00 am for a 30 minutes drive to Arusha National Park. Here you will participate in a half day walking safari and a half day game drive. You will be accompanied by an armed ranger for the walk, who will guide you through the forest up to the waterfall and the point for viewing the black and white colobus monkeys. During the game drive you will see the 7 Lakes of Momella and the Ngurduto Crater. Depart Arusha at 09.00 am for a full day in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its green scenery, varied bird life, tree-climbing lions, hippos and baboons. Overnight on the rim of the Great Rift Valley, overlooking Lake Manyara at; L: Lake Manyara Serena, H: E Unoto Retreat, M: Lake Manyara Hotel, B: Panorama Camp
Early breakfast at 6.00 am. Game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest-migration, herds of lions and other predators like hyenas, cheetahs and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Another game drive in Serengeti. In the afternoon you drive en route (optional stopover at Olduvai) to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight with an excellent view of the crater floor! A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. There is a very high possibility of spotting the big 5 in one day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Lunch will take place at the picnic site at the crater floor. Overnight in the Great Rift Valley at; L: Lake Manyara Serena, H: Tarangire Sopa Lodge, M: Lake Manyara Hotel, B: Panorama Camp
Transfer to Tarangire National Park for a day of game viewing. This park is often referred to as the “home of elephants”, you have a great chance to spot elephants in large groups gathering around the Tarangire River. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, lions, giraffes and even tree-climbing pythons! In the late afternoon, return to Arusha for overnight at; L: Serena Mountain Village, H: New Arusha Hotel, M: Mount Meru Hotel, B: Arusha Travel Lodge.
Transfer to Arusha Airport for flight to Zanzibar, where you will unwind for 6 days. Highlights include exploring the Arabic architecture, tropical fruits & spices, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling and last but not least the white palm fringed beaches and the azure waters of the Indian ocean! Overnight at; L: Karafuu Beach Hotel, H: Karafuu Beach Hotel, M: Mnarani Cottages (deluxe rooms), B: Mnarani Cottages (standard rooms)
Transfer to Stone Town for a last night on the legendary spice island of Zanzibar. L: Zanzibar Serena Inn, H: Zanzibar Serena Inn, M: Dhow Palace Hotel, B: Kids Play Hotel
Return to Arusha or Dar es Salaam for connecting flight home.
